In the application we developed for Bosch's Thermotechnical plant, RFID read/write heads positioned at the warehouse exit ensured that kit cars, in line with work orders, were released for production. To physically ensure this control, a barrier system was installed at the warehouse entrance and exit. The application, which provides two-way communication with the warehouse management system, scans the RFID tags on the incoming kit cars and sends them to the warehouse system, allowing only approved cars to exit.
